About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a new product line and needs to uplift its test automation suite to cut regression risk before release. You will design and extend automated tests for Node.js services, ensuring critical paths are covered and flaky tests are eliminated.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing test coverage and identify gaps in regression scenarios
• Develop robust end‑to‑end and integration tests using popular frameworks
• Integrate tests into CI pipelines and enforce quality gates
• Collaborate with developers to refactor flaky tests and improve codeability
• Document test strategies and provide knowledge transfer to the internal QA team

Must-have skills

• Strong NodeJS development experience
• Proficiency with Express and building REST APIs
• Hands‑on test automation using tools like Mocha, Jest, or Cypress
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline integration

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker containers for test environments
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
