About the role

NovaForge Tech is enhancing its test automation suite to lower regression risk before each launch. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to fine‑tune our databases, integrate automated health checks, and ensure data integrity across CI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PostgreSQL monitoring scripts for automated test runs
• Optimize replication and backup strategies to support rapid test environment refreshes
• Collaborate with QA engineers to embed database health metrics into test dashboards
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks that affect test execution speed
• Document best‑practice configurations for future automation phases

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in CI/CD contexts
• Strong SQL tuning and indexing expertise
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and replication setups

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerized database deployments
• Exposure to MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
