About the role

CloudWave Digital is expanding its data services and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure high‑availability, performance, and security of our cloud‑based databases. You will work closely with developers and DevOps engineers to support data pipelines and application deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters on cloud platforms
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage indexing strategies
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Ensure security compliance, role‑based access, and audit logging
• Collaborate on schema design and data migration projects

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization
• Experience with Linux, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and automation tools
• Familiarity with replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for database changes
