About the role

Harbor Softworks is launching a sprint to automate its CI/CD pipeline and platform releases. We need a Python Backend Developer who can design, build, and refine automation scripts that accelerate deployment cycles while keeping reliability high.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python services that orchestrate build, test, and deployment workflows
• Integrate CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) with existing micro‑services
• Create reusable libraries for environment provisioning and rollback handling
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for automation code
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to identify bottlenecks and improve release speed

Must-have skills

• Strong Python experience, especially with async patterns
• Proficiency in Django for internal tooling APIs
• Design and consume REST APIs
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and version control

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of Kubernetes deployment strategies
• Prior work on large‑scale CI/CD automation projects
