About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a sprint to tighten CI/CD pipelines and automate platform provisioning. We need a REST API Developer who can embed automation hooks, streamline release workflows, and ensure reliable API services throughout the sprint.

Key responsibilities

• Design and extend RESTful endpoints that trigger CI/CD jobs and environment setups
• Integrate GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar tools with API calls for automated testing and deployment
• Write scripts to provision PostgreSQL instances and configure NodeJS services on cloud VMs
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed monitoring and rollback mechanisms
• Document API contracts and automation sequences for the team

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade REST APIs
• Strong NodeJS and JavaScript proficiency
• Hands‑on with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Understanding of containerization and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes orchestration
• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for automated provisioning
• Background in performance testing of API endpoints
