REST API Developer Needed for High-Volume Third-Party Integrations

About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a REST API Developer to design and deliver the core backend services. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping APIs that power the next generation of our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document secure RESTful endpoints
• Collaborate with product owners to translate features into scalable services
• Write clean, testable NodeJS code and maintain CI pipelines
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for performance
• Ensure API versioning and backward compatibility

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async patterns
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL design and query optimization
• Understanding of authentication, rate limiting, and error handling

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience in event‑driven architectures
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP) for deployment
