About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. The project aims for zero‑downtime migration to a cloud‑native stack while preserving existing business logic. You will join a small, focused team to design and implement new RESTful services that replace outdated endpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and test high‑performance REST APIs using NodeJS.
• Refactor legacy codebases into modular, testable components.
• Implement database migrations and optimize queries in PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure zero‑downtime releases.
• Write clear documentation and API specifications for internal consumers.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design and query tuning.
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in legacy system migration.
