About the role

Ridgeline Software is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing Android services. We need an Android Developer who can dive deep into existing code, profile bottlenecks, and implement robust solutions that keep users happy under heavy load.

Key responsibilities

• Audit current Android codebase for performance hotspots
• Refactor networking layers to use efficient APIs and caching
• Implement background processing with WorkManager for reliability
• Write unit and UI tests to guard against regressions
• Collaborate with QA to simulate real‑world usage scenarios

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java expertise on Android
• Proven track record optimizing app launch time and memory usage
• Experience with Retrofit, Coroutines, and Jetpack components
• Familiarity with profiling tools (Android Studio Profiler, LeakCanary)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Android apps
• Background in handling large‑scale user data sync
