About the role

Harbor Softworks is revamping a legacy production platform and needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to ensure zero‑downtime security integration. You will work closely with engineers to embed threat detection, hardening, and compliance checks into the modernization pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments on legacy components and propose mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement real‑time monitoring and alerting for security events during migration.
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security controls in CI/CD workflows.
• Validate zero‑downtime rollout plans against security requirements.
• Document security architecture and incident response playbooks for the new platform.

Must-have skills

• Deep knowledge of network and application security principles.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting security checks.
• Extensive experience securing Linux‑based production environments.
• Hands‑on with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI‑DSS or ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
