About the role

Ridgeline Software is revamping its legacy transaction engine, codenamed "PulseShift", to achieve zero‑downtime releases. As a Senior Data Scientist you will drive the analytics layer that powers real‑time monitoring and predictive scaling during the migration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a streaming feature‑store in Apache Flink to capture live metrics from PulseShift.
• Build and validate predictive models in Python (scikit‑learn, PyTorch) to forecast load spikes and auto‑tune resource allocation.
• Develop RESTful endpoints for model inference, integrating with existing Java services via FastAPI.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to embed model pipelines into CI/CD for seamless zero‑downtime rollout.
• Create automated data quality tests and monitoring dashboards in Grafana for each migration milestone.
• Document model versioning and data lineage using MLflow to ensure reproducibility.

Must-have skills

• Advanced Python for data science, including pandas, NumPy, and model libraries.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL for feature extraction and time‑series queries.
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands‑on knowledge of streaming platforms (Flink, Kafka) and real‑time analytics.
• Track record of deploying ML models in production with zero‑downtime constraints.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes) for model serving.
• Experience with cloud‑native data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery).
