About the role

NovaForge Tech is scaling its flagship B2B analytics suite and needs a senior Database Administrator to lead the multi‑tenant feature delivery for the new "TenantPulse" module. You will ensure data isolation, performance, and reliability across dozens of client databases while supporting rapid feature roll‑outs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schema changes for TenantPulse to support per‑tenant sharding in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Automate backup, restore, and point‑in‑time recovery processes using Linux cron and custom Bash scripts.
• Configure and tune MongoDB replica sets for tenant‑specific document stores, ensuring < 100 ms read latency.
• Develop migration pipelines in Python to move legacy tenant data into the new multi‑tenant architecture.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI.
• Monitor performance metrics with Prometheus and Grafana, and resolve bottlenecks before release milestones.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL administration.
• Strong experience with MongoDB clustering and sharding.
• Proficiency in Linux server environments and shell scripting.
• Hands‑on knowledge of database migration tools and data modeling for multi‑tenant SaaS.
• Ability to write performant SQL queries and optimize indexes.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Terraform for database provisioning.
• Experience with Kubernetes‑based database operators.
