About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping a legacy production platform to achieve true zero‑downtime deployments. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune the container orchestration layer that will power this transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a resilient Kubernetes cluster on the chosen cloud provider.
• Migrate existing services into Docker containers with minimal disruption.
• Implement blue‑green and canary deployment pipelines for zero‑downtime releases.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for cluster health and performance.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor legacy scripts into cloud‑native workloads.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in Docker containerization and image lifecycle.
• Proven experience designing and managing production‑grade Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD automation using tools like ArgoCD, Helm, or Jenkins.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC frameworks.
• Familiarity with legacy monolithic applications and migration patterns.
