About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a sprint to accelerate releases through CI/CD and platform automation. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune pipelines that enable rapid, reliable deployments across our cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles.
• Containerize micro‑services with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate environment provisioning, scaling, and monitoring for sprint workloads.
• Collaborate with developers to embed security and testing into the pipeline.
• Document processes and create runbooks for future automation cycles.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar).
• Strong grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and IaC tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures and optimize performance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm, Argo CD, or Flux.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with security scanning tools for containers.
