About the role

NexGen Media is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need an iOS App Developer to refactor core modules, improve launch times, and ensure stable network interactions across all devices.

Key responsibilities

• Profile and benchmark existing iOS codebase to identify bottlenecks
• Rewrite critical paths in Swift for better memory management and speed
• Implement robust error handling and retry logic for REST API calls
• Collaborate with QA to create automated performance tests
• Document changes and share best practices with the team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of iOS development with Swift
• Deep understanding of iOS performance tuning and Instruments
• Extensive experience consuming REST APIs securely
• Proficiency with Git, CI pipelines, and code reviews

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Combine or RxSwift
• Experience with background processing and push notifications
