About the role

TechFlow Inc is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a Microservices Architect to design, refactor, and optimize the core service mesh, ensuring low latency and high availability under load.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current microservice landscape and pinpoint bottlenecks
• Define a scalable architecture using Docker and Kubernetes best practices
• Implement circuit‑breaker patterns, retries, and graceful degradation strategies
• Guide the team on observability, tracing, and automated health checks
• Collaborate with product owners to align technical improvements with business goals

Must-have skills

• Proven experience designing high‑performance microservice systems
• Deep knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background with clean code principles
• Expertise in performance tuning, load testing, and reliability engineering

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for microservice deployments
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
