About the role

We are revamping our customer‑facing services to boost speed and uptime. As a Node.js Developer you will lead the performance and reliability overhaul, ensuring critical APIs respond instantly and stay resilient under load.

Key responsibilities

• Profile, benchmark, and refactor existing Node.js services for latency reduction.
• Implement robust error handling, retries, and circuit‑breaker patterns.
• Introduce caching layers and optimize database queries.
• Set up automated load testing and continuous performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams to align deployment pipelines.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Node.js development on high‑traffic systems.
• Deep expertise with Express, async patterns, and event‑loop tuning.
• Strong grasp of REST API design, security, and versioning.
• Experience with performance profiling tools (e.g., Clinic, New Relic).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Redis or similar caching solutions.
• Background in CI/CD pipeline enhancements for Node.js.
