About the role

We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. As a PHP Developer you will reinforce existing codebases, implement security best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and remediate PHP code for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Integrate Laravel security packages and enforce strict input validation
• Design database hardening strategies for MySQL instances in the cloud
• Collaborate with DevOps to configure secure CI/CD pipelines
• Document security fixes and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development, strong Laravel experience
• Deep understanding of web security principles and threat modeling
• Proficiency with MySQL performance tuning and encryption
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and container security
• Knowledge of automated security testing tools (e.g., Snyk, OWASP ZAP)
