About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator who can design, implement, and fine‑tune automated database deployment pipelines while ensuring reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows for PostgreSQL schema migrations and version control.
• Automate backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery processes using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Monitor database health, tune queries, and optimize configurations for high‑throughput pipelines.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to embed database changes into release pipelines.
• Document standards, runbooks, and best practices for platform automation.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security hardening.

Nice to have

• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana.
• Knowledge of other RDBMS like MySQL or MongoDB for cross‑platform consistency.
