About the role

Pinecrest Systems is preparing a major app store launch and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to align the mobile backend with upcoming release requirements. You will ensure data integrity, performance, and seamless integration across services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement PostgreSQL schemas optimized for mobile workloads
• Configure replication and high‑availability clusters for zero‑downtime deployments
• Monitor performance metrics and tune queries for fast response times
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate PostgreSQL with APIs and caching layers
• Document procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the ops team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong SQL optimization and indexing expertise
• Experience with replication, backup, and disaster recovery
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and automation tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL ecosystems
• Background in mobile backend architecture
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for database services
