About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch and needs an AWS Cloud Engineer to align mobile and backend services. You will ensure the cloud environment supports fast, reliable releases and scales with user demand.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for mobile backend APIs using AWS CodePipeline.
• Configure VPC networking, security groups, and IAM roles for secure mobile‑to‑cloud communication.
• Set up automated scaling policies for Lambda functions and ECS services handling app traffic.
• Integrate CloudWatch dashboards and alerts to monitor performance during the rollout.
• Collaborate with mobile developers to fine‑tune API latency and data sync.

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Strong DevOps mindset with IaC tools (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend frameworks (Amplify, AppSync).
• Knowledge of API gateway security best practices.
