Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced photo retouching and editing tasks using Adobe Photoshop, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives, identify image enhancement opportunities, and implement retouching solutions that align with the project's aesthetic and technical goals.
• Apply color correction and grading techniques to enhance the visual appeal and consistency of images across different projects and campaigns.
• Utilize masking, layering, and selection tools to isolate and refine specific elements within images, ensuring seamless integration and realistic outcomes.
• Implement noise reduction, sharpening, and other image optimization techniques to improve the technical quality of images without compromising their artistic integrity.
• Work closely with photographers and art directors to retouch and enhance images based on their creative vision, providing technical expertise and suggesting enhancements that can elevate the visual impact of the images.
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results under tight timelines.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in photo retouching and editing, continuously improving skills and adapting to new software versions and technologies.
• Communicate effectively with the team and clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues that may arise during the retouching process, ensuring transparent and efficient project management.
• Maintain organized files and archives of edited images, ensuring version control and easy retrieval of project assets.
• Participate in creative discussions and provide input on image enhancements and retouching strategies that can add value to projects and enhance their visual impact.
• Adhere to NovaSparks' quality standards and style guidelines, ensuring consistency across all projects and deliverables.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members in photo retouching techniques and best practices, contributing to the professional development of the team.
• Contribute to the development of retouching guidelines and standards for the agency, helping to evolve and refine our approach to image enhancement and quality control.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, with in-depth knowledge of its tools, features, and workflows.
• 2+ years of experience in photo retouching and editing, preferably in a creative agency or similar environment.
• Portfolio that showcases a strong attention to detail and the ability to enhance images aesthetically and technically.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, contrast, and composition, with the ability to apply these principles in retouching and editing tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas simply.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects with varying priorities and timelines.
• Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, such as Lightroom and Illustrator, is an asset.
• Basic understanding of photography principles and practices, allowing for effective collaboration with photographers and informed retouching decisions.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, especially when dealing with complex retouching challenges or tight deadlines.
• Adaptability and a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies, software, and workflows as they emerge.
