Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Prepare and file tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Provide financial guidance and advice to clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow
• Collaborate with our team of financial experts to provide comprehensive financial services to our clients
• Manage and maintain relationships with clients, including responding to inquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and financial standards
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
• Provide training and support to junior staff members as needed
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a small business or public accounting firm
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and financial standards
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation an asset
