About the role

We are preparing a high‑impact app store launch that requires tight coordination between mobile front‑ends and backend services. The Node.js Developer will shape the API layer, ensure data consistency, and support real‑time features that power the upcoming mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable REST APIs using Node.js and Express
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and sync mechanisms
• Optimize server performance for high‑traffic launch periods
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Document endpoints and usage guidelines for cross‑team consumption

Must-have skills

• Proficiency in NodeJS, Express, and JavaScript
• Experience building REST API services for mobile applications
• Understanding of authentication, rate limiting, and error handling
• Ability to work independently in a remote freelance setting

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated releases
• Experience with WebSocket or real‑time communication
