About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is enhancing its operations with a robust data pipeline and analytics enablement platform. We need a PHP Developer who can design, build, and optimize backend services that ingest, transform, and surface operational data for analytics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable PHP services using Laravel to collect and process data streams.
• Design MySQL schemas that support fast querying and reporting.
• Implement ETL jobs that clean, aggregate, and load data into analytical stores.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to define pipeline requirements.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks in real time.

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP development experience, especially with Laravel.
• Proficiency in MySQL schema design and query optimization.
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL concepts, and API integrations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part‑time setting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployments.
• Experience with data visualization tools or BI platforms.
• Knowledge of message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
