About the role

Summit Digital is launching a brand‑new SaaS product from scratch. We need a PHP Developer to shape the core backend, design data models, and ensure the service scales as early adopters join.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement RESTful APIs using Laravel
• Design relational schemas and write performant MySQL queries
• Integrate third‑party services and payment gateways
• Set up automated testing and CI pipelines for rapid releases
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product managers in a remote‑first environment

Must-have skills

• 2+ years of professional PHP development
• Strong experience with Laravel framework
• Proficient in MySQL database design and optimization
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or container orchestration
• Knowledge of AWS services or other cloud platforms
• Understanding of event‑driven architecture
