About the role

Vertex Analytics is scaling its test automation framework to cut regression risk before each product launch. We need a Python Backend Developer who can design, implement, and integrate robust automation services that feed our CI pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and code reusable Python modules for end‑to‑end test orchestration
• Build and secure REST APIs that trigger and report automated test suites
• Integrate with PostgreSQL to store test results, metrics, and historical trends
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to embed automation into existing CI/CD workflows
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality and reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong Python development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Django or Flask for API creation
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test frameworks such as pytest or Robot Framework
• Experience integrating automation into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI tools
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for isolated test environments
