About the role

CloudWave Digital is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our security operations for a critical, short‑term project. You will lead incident detection, response, and continuous monitoring across a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring rapid mitigation of threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement SOC processes, including alert triage and escalation.
• Develop and fine‑tune SIEM rules and dashboards for real‑time threat visibility.
• Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and produce detailed reports.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate security controls in AWS workloads.
• Perform threat hunting exercises and improve detection capabilities.
• Mentor junior analysts and share best practices.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with SOC operations and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services and architecture.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and security hardening.
• Python scripting for automation of detection and response workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms.
• Certifications such as CISSP or GCP Security Engineer.
