About the role
Cascade Apps is launching a greenfield SaaS platform called Nimbus Core, built for a fully remote-first team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will shape the end‑to‑end delivery pipeline, ensuring rapid, reliable releases from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a CI/CD workflow in GitHub Actions that supports multi‑environment deployments within the first 4 weeks.
- Containerize the Nimbus Core microservices using Docker and orchestrate them on Amazon EKS, establishing baseline Helm charts.
- Set up Terraform IaC for VPC, RDS, and IAM roles, delivering a reproducible infrastructure foundation.
- Configure monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to meet SLOs before the beta launch.
- Automate security scanning (Trivy, Checkov) and integrate it into the pipeline for continuous compliance.
Must-have skills
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, RDS).
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Strong Terraform/IaC background.
- Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation using GitHub Actions or similar.
- Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.

- Experience with serverless components (Lambda, API Gateway).
