About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping its customer‑facing services to boost performance and reliability. We need a GraphQL API Developer who can redesign critical endpoints, enforce strict latency targets, and ensure seamless integration with existing front‑end layers.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor and optimize current GraphQL schemas for speed and scalability
• Implement caching strategies and batching to reduce response times
• Collaborate with React front‑end engineers to align data contracts
• Write comprehensive tests and monitoring hooks for production stability
• Document API changes and guide internal teams through migration steps

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building high‑performance GraphQL services
• Strong command of NodeJS and REST API concepts
• Proficiency with React data consumption patterns
• Track record of improving latency and uptime in production systems

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apollo Server or similar GraphQL tooling
• Experience with performance profiling and APM tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
