About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Java Developer to embed robust security controls, audit existing services, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current microservice architecture for security gaps
• Implement authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms using Spring Security
• Refactor vulnerable code paths and add security‑focused unit tests
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security scanning into CI pipelines
• Document hardening guidelines for future development teams

Must-have skills

• Strong Java development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and microservice patterns
• Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, TLS)
• Experience writing automated tests for security validation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with container security tools
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
