About the role

Vertex Analytics is building a next‑gen data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and scale the core services that ingest, process, and expose data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design a modular microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes
• Implement event‑driven data flows and ensure low‑latency processing
• Define API contracts and enforce versioning for analytics consumers
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate streaming and batch pipelines
• Establish monitoring, logging, and automated scaling strategies

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building microservices in Java
• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Strong understanding of data pipeline patterns and event streaming
• Proficiency in designing RESTful and gRPC APIs
• Ability to write clean, testable, and documented code

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or Pulsar
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling for container deployments
