About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a critical product and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to lead test automation uplift, reducing regression risk before launch. You will design, implement, and maintain database test frameworks that integrate with CI pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Build automated regression test suites for PostgreSQL schemas and stored procedures
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to embed database tests into CI/CD
• Optimize query performance for test data loads and tear‑down
• Document test scenarios, results, and remediation steps
• Monitor and troubleshoot test environment stability

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., pgTAP, pytest)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for data setup
• Understanding of CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

Nice to have

• Exposure to MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database testing
• Knowledge of containerized databases (Docker)
