About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a sprint to automate its CI/CD pipeline and platform provisioning. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and tune database automation that speeds up releases while maintaining reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain PostgreSQL clusters using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Integrate database migrations into CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Develop scripts for automated backups, failover testing, and performance baselines
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to embed DB best‑practices in release cycles
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues during rapid deployment cycles

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong experience with CI/CD integration and automation frameworks
• Proficiency in shell/Python scripting for database tasks
• Understanding of replication, sharding, and high‑availability architectures

Nice to have

• Exposure to MongoDB or MySQL environments
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Certification in PostgreSQL or cloud platforms
