About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Python Backend Developer to design, implement, and validate security controls across our services while keeping performance intact.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Django services for security gaps and propose mitigations
• Implement authentication, authorization, and input validation enhancements
• Integrate security libraries and enforce best‑practice configurations
• Write automated tests to verify hardened endpoints
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure secure CI/CD pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong Python and Django experience
• Deep understanding of REST API security patterns
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and secure query handling
• Familiarity with OWASP guidelines and cloud security concepts

Nice to have

• Experience with container security tools
• Knowledge of AWS IAM and security groups
• Prior work on security hardening projects for SaaS platforms
