About the role
Ridgeline Software is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a REST API Developer to strengthen authentication, encryption, and audit logging across our services. The work will focus on tightening API defenses while keeping performance intact.
Key responsibilities
- Review and refactor existing REST endpoints for security best practices
- Implement OAuth2, JWT, and rate‑limiting controls
- Integrate input validation and output sanitization layers
- Conduct threat modeling and penetration testing of APIs
- Document security enhancements and update API specifications
Must-have skills
- Proven experience building secure REST APIs
- Strong NodeJS and JavaScript expertise
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL security features
- Familiarity with OWASP API Security Top 10
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud IAM services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline security integration
