Senior REST API Developer Needed for Webhook Integration Upgrade

About the role

Orbit Labs is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a REST API Developer to design, implement, and fine‑tune API services that integrate seamlessly into our automated pipelines, ensuring faster, reliable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance RESTful endpoints using NodeJS.
• Integrate API services with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Automate database migrations and schema versioning in PostgreSQL.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee API stability.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed monitoring and rollback mechanisms.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline configuration and automation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Understanding of API security best practices (OAuth, JWT).
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).
