Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including marketing materials, technical manuals, and website content from Spanish to English and vice versa.
• Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and other language resources to support translation projects.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that all translations meet the highest standards of quality.
• Provide linguistic and cultural expertise to support the development of marketing materials, product launches, and other business initiatives.
• Collaborate with other translators, editors, and project managers to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Utilize translation software and tools, such as CAT tools and translation memory, to support translation projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with freelance translators and other language service providers to support business growth and development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices in translation and language services.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the company.
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials, such as brochures, website content, and social media posts.

Requirements

• Native Spanish speaker with a strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of translation software and tools, such as CAT tools and translation memory.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong research skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry trends, terminology, and best practices in translation.
