About the role

Northbay Systems is creating a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a Vue.js Frontend Developer to craft intuitive interfaces that surface real‑time insights and allow users to configure data flows without friction. The work will be tightly coupled with backend services but focused on delivering a polished, responsive UI.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable Vue components for dashboards and data visualisation widgets.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and WebSocket streams to display live operational metrics.
• Collaborate with data engineers to translate pipeline schemas into user‑friendly forms.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Write unit and end‑to‑end tests to maintain high code quality.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Vue.js (2.x or 3.x) and component libraries.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, and real‑time data handling.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and documentation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data‑visualisation libraries such as D3 or Chart.js.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments.
• Background in analytics or operations tooling.
