In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including budget variance reports and financial statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets
  • Assist with financial statement preparation, including compiling and reviewing financial data
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and colleagues
  • Collaborate with accountants and bookkeepers to complete projects and meet deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting laws and regulations, and implement new procedures as necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning, including preparing and reviewing budget reports
  • Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations to management
  • Develop and implement financial models and forecasts
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a small business or non-profit organization
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with excellent customer service and support skills
  • Certification in accounting or bookkeeping, such as QuickBooks Certified User or Xero Certified Advisor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
