About the role

Cascade Apps is assembling a remote‑first SaaS team to launch a brand‑new product from scratch. We need an Android Developer who can shape the core mobile experience, collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers, and deliver high‑quality code in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement new Android features using Kotlin and Java
• Integrate RESTful APIs and real‑time services into the app
• Write unit and UI tests to ensure reliability and maintainability
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and agile ceremonies
• Optimize performance and memory usage for a smooth user experience

Must-have skills

• 2+ years of Android development with Kotlin and Java
• Strong grasp of Android Jetpack components and MVVM
• Experience consuming JSON APIs and handling authentication flows
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Compose or Flutter
• Exposure to cloud services (Firebase, AWS)
• Understanding of accessibility best practices
