About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is building a high‑performance data processing platform to support its next‑generation services. We need a Backend Developer to design and implement core API services that handle large volumes of transactional data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using NodeJS.
• Implement database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL.
• Optimize server‑side performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to define integration points.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Maintain documentation for API endpoints and data models.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with NodeJS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proficient in PostgreSQL database design and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event‑driven architecture.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
