Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, including marketing materials, website content, technical documents, and educational resources, from Spanish to English and vice versa.
• Review and edit translations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
• Collaborate with translators, editors, and project managers to ensure the highest quality of work and meet tight deadlines.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in translation and language services.
• Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and terminology databases to ensure consistency and quality in translations.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that translations meet the required standards and are free of errors.
• Assist in the development of new translation projects and services, including market research and competitor analysis.
• Provide support and training to junior translators and other team members as needed.
• Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the language services department.
• Stay up-to-date with new tools and technologies in translation and language services, including translation memory software and other industry-specific tools.

Requirements

• Native Spanish speaker with excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting (2+ years).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with translation memory software and other industry-specific tools.
• Strong research skills and ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
