Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Performing data entry tasks, including processing invoices, payments, and journal entries.
  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting, including analyzing financial data and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with the accounting team to ensure seamless financial operations and providing exceptional support to clients.
  • Developing and implementing effective financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Providing training and support to junior staff members and contributing to the development of the accounting team.
  • Assisting with audits and financial examinations, including preparing financial statements and providing supporting documentation.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, including responding to inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations, and applying this knowledge to improve financial operations and compliance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero, and experience with financial management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting, such as QuickBooks Certified User or Xero Certified Advisor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
