Key Responsibilities

• Translate a variety of documents, including technical reports, marketing materials, and creative content, from one language to another while ensuring accuracy, quality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Collaborate with our team of linguists, project managers, and quality assurance specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality translations that meet our clients' needs and expectations.
• Conduct research to expand vocabulary, stay up-to-date with industry developments, and maintain a thorough understanding of the cultural nuances and linguistic complexities of the languages you work with.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools and software to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality, and to facilitate collaboration with other team members.
• Work closely with our project management team to understand project requirements, timelines, and deadlines, and to ensure that all deliverables are met.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including proofreading, editing, and reviewing translations to ensure that they meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of our terminology databases, glossaries, and style guides to promote consistency and best practices across our translations.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and support to less experienced translators, and participate in training and mentoring programs to help develop their skills and expertise.
• Engage with our clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations, and to ensure that our translations meet their requirements and exceed their expectations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to ensure that our translations remain relevant, effective, and competitive.
• Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to develop new business opportunities, promote our services, and expand our client base.
• Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and metrics to track progress, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
• Proven experience as a translator, with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills and expertise.
• Fluency in at least two languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in each language.
• Strong understanding of the cultural nuances, linguistic complexities, and technical requirements of the languages you work with.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools and software, including MemoQ, Trados, and Smartcat.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high levels of quality and accuracy in your work.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, engage with clients, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
