Node.js Developer – Backend Scalability Sprint

About the role

Silverline Labs is building a high‑throughput automation platform to accelerate release cycles. As a Node.js Developer you will own the TurboDeploy module, a CI/CD and platform automation sprint aimed at shaving days off each release. You will work closely with DevOps engineers to embed best‑in‑class pipelines into our microservice ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the TurboDeploy pipeline using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Containerize Node.js services with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes.
• Integrate automated testing suites (Mocha, Chai) into the release workflow.
• Develop custom scripts to auto‑scale infrastructure during peak deployment windows.
• Monitor pipeline health with Prometheus and create alerting dashboards.
• Document CI/CD standards and hand‑off knowledge to the internal tooling team.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Node.js (v14+) and JavaScript ES6+.
• Proficiency in building REST APIs and working with MongoDB.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai, Jest).
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Background in performance tuning of Node.js services.
