Python Backend Developer for Automated Platform Modernization

About the role

Summit Digital is launching a sprint to accelerate releases through CI/CD and platform automation. We need a Python Backend Developer to design, implement, and fine‑tune pipelines that enable faster, reliable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or Ansible
• Develop and expose RESTful services in Django for internal tooling
• Integrate testing suites and code quality gates into the pipeline
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA to streamline release cycles

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django and REST API design
• Hands‑on with PostgreSQL schema design and optimization
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tooling

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions
