About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Database Administrator to ensure the backend data layer syncs perfectly with the mobile experience. You will work closely with mobile engineers to align schemas, replication, and performance tuning for a seamless release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schema changes that support new mobile features
• Optimize queries and indexes for low‑latency mobile access
• Set up automated backup, monitoring, and alerting pipelines
• Collaborate with DevOps to configure replication across cloud regions
• Conduct load testing and capacity planning for peak launch traffic

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Deep understanding of replication, sharding, and high‑availability patterns
• Experience tuning databases for mobile‑first applications
• Proficiency with scripting (Bash, Python) for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of mobile analytics integration
