Senior Full Stack Web Developer for Internal Tools Platform Overhaul

About the role

Orbit Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Full Stack Web Developer to redesign core services, improve UI responsiveness, and implement zero‑downtime deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Node.js services into modular, testable units
• Build new React components that replace outdated UI widgets while preserving existing user flows
• Implement feature flags and blue‑green releases to meet zero‑downtime goals
• Collaborate with QA to create automated integration tests for critical paths
• Optimize MongoDB queries and data models for performance under heavy load

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience
• Deep expertise in React, NodeJS, JavaScript, and MongoDB
• Proven track record delivering zero‑downtime migrations
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and security best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes orchestration
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog)
