About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a high‑impact app store launch that demands tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and optimise the API layer that powers the upcoming mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable GraphQL server using NodeJS
• Integrate GraphQL endpoints with existing REST APIs and data stores
• Collaborate with React mobile engineers to define schema contracts
• Implement authentication, caching, and error handling strategies
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building GraphQL APIs in production
• Strong NodeJS development background
• Familiarity with React integration patterns
• Understanding of REST API design and migration

Nice to have

• Experience with Apollo Server or similar tooling
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimisation
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for backend services
