About the role

Vertex Analytics is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure as code that supports high‑throughput workloads and ensures zero‑downtime deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and codify AWS environments using Terraform modules.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, validation, and rollout of infrastructure changes.
• Collaborate with developers to embed observability and auto‑scaling policies.
• Conduct performance benchmarking and implement cost‑effective scaling strategies.
• Document standards, runbooks, and best practices for the team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Terraform engineering on AWS.
• Deep understanding of DevOps culture and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with infrastructure performance tuning and reliability engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell/Python) for automation.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes orchestration knowledge.
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks like Prometheus/Grafana.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect.
